To: ALL MBC MEMBERS
From: Nominating Committee:

We would like invite each member to consider the possibility of running for an office and serving your fellow members. Sure, it takes time. Indeed, we are all busy. However, don’t let those reasons become excuses.

Rewards from serving as an officer cannot be measured in financial gain or imagined status; however to serve your fellow members
is most gratifying.

Serving on an active committee and/or being
elected to office affords you the opportunity to learn how our organization functions, and to participate in the continual progress of the
club.

Please take some time to consider these opportunities, attend regular
membership meetings, and lastly, speak with a Board or Blue Gavel
member to learn more about this rewarding experience.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the 2010 Regatta a success!

As a reminder the parking lot will be closed from July 21st - August 1st.

2010-2011 Officer and Board Nominations

At the September 22nd General Membership meeting, nominations for the election slate will be selected. We invite all members to become involved in the managing of our club and consider serving as an
elected officer.

A publication entitled “Roles and Responsibilities” has recently been compiled to assist you in understanding the duties and obligations associated with any elected office. Please request a copy from any Board Member.

Don’t be bashful and think you can’t do this because ‘yes you can!’ You will surprise yourself. Holding an office can be fun and also very gratifying. Believe those who have served in the past, have not a days regret for their time as Officers and/or Board Members for Monroe Boat Club.

If you are contacted to contemplate running for an office, think of it as a true compliment and consider the possibility!

Contact any member of Nominating Committee below about adding YOUR name to the ballot. Thank you for your time!
