Welcome to the Monroe Boat Club
The Monroe Boat Club (MBC) was chartered in 1945 through a merger of Monroe Yacht Club (founded in 1868) and Bolles Harbor Boat Club. Individuals from each club came together as a group interested in boating, volunteering, and fellowship. This year we celebrate our club’s 75th anniversary. As in past years, our members continue to volunteer their time and talents to improve our infrastructure and fill our calendar with great events. We welcome you, AYC, I-LYA and YCA members, our guests, and fellow boaters to our club and docks.
Volunteerism serves as the foundation on which MBC continues to thrive and improve. Our Auxiliary, Blue Gavel, Satin Gavel, MBC Association, Sail Fleet and Power Fleet organizations provide many opportunities for our members to lead, volunteer and share in the MBC experience. Membership in MBC provides dockage opportunities (subject to availability), on site fenced storage capability, cruises to other clubs and places such as Put-In-Bay and Kelley’s Island, sailing racing series, educational opportunities on boating, marine life, and quality-of-life topics. It is a place to enjoy fellowship with those of similar interests. MBC offers deep-water access to Lake Erie and other affiliated yacht clubs and ports in Michigan, Ohio and Canada. Our members enjoy our modern clubhouse, grounds, docks, and a variety of other social events. The bar is open for lunch providing daily specials during the week, and has entertainment on many weekends.
Monroe Boat Club is ideal to visit by boat. Our clubhouse, located adjacent to the docks, is open seven days a week. We are within walking distance of numerous amenities including the Harbor Inn & Ale Restaurant, two boat repair and hoist facilities, pump out stations, gas docks, as well as party stores and bait shops. MBC now has a carry out license for beer and wine, making it a great stop to refresh your boat and meet other boaters on the docks
We look forward to your visit, to welcome you and continue to earn our reputation as one of the friendliest boat clubs on Lake Erie.
